Nestled between the dam and the mountain, the Plaza del Encuentro (Meeting Plaza) awaits, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Located next to National Route 75, this plaza, created in 2025, has everything you need for a memorable afternoon. Here you'll find a tourist information center, a restaurant, restrooms, and a children's playground.

Square

Plaza 10 de Mayo

Named in reference to "Sanagasta Day," this renovated plaza is located at the entrance to Villa Sanagasta. Its location makes it one of the coolest green spaces in the area, and as such, it is usually very busy on summer weekends. It also frequently hosts fairs and cultural events throughout the year.

Square

Plaza Las Rosas

One of the oldest and most emblematic squares in Villa Sanagasta, located very near the intersection of the town's two main access roads. Its name comes from the rose bushes that adorn its grounds and add color during the warmer months. It's an ideal spot to relax or participate in cultural events and is a favorite among frequent visitors.

Green space & grotto

"La Costanera" promenade

This is a roughly 1-kilometer walk that runs along the foothills of the mountains bordering the northern part of Villa Sanagasta. It follows the main canal, the most important waterway in the area. Along the way, you'll also find grottoes dedicated to various religious figures and several rest stops or popular picnic spots.

Plazoleta & monumento

Plazoleta Gral. San Mart铆n

En plena zona c茅ntrica se encuentra este espacio verde donde se le rinde tributo al General y libertador de Argentina, Chile y Per煤. Se suele usar como punto de referencia y encuentro sanagaste帽o y se ubica frente a la iglesia de La Merced con la cual convive casi como un mismo espacio. Es adem谩s un lugar id贸neo para la realizaci贸n de actos protocolares y tributos en fechas patrias.

Templo religioso

Capilla Virgen India

El templo erguido en honor a la Virgen India es uno de los puntos mas conocidos de Sanagasta incluso afuera de la provincia. Tambi茅n es uno de los edificios mas antiguos (aunque fue parcialmente reconstruido tras el terremoto de 1976). El templo se mantiene abierto para sus feligreses (revise horarios) que visitan la imagen de la Virgen constantemente; especialmente en 茅pocas de peregrinaci贸n.
